new york university

Site information

NYU will host the Applied Data Analytics training program at the Center for Urban Science and Progress (CUSP) office, which is located on the 19th floor of 1 MetroTech Center, Brooklyn NY, in the National Grid building. The entrance is on Jay Street, directly across the street from 370 Jay street. Upon entering the building you will go up the stairs or escalator to a guard desk, who will then let you in to use the elevators to get to the 19th floor. The program will be taught in the Jacobs Seminar room, to which there will be direction signs posted or anyone in the office can point you in the correct direction if needed.

Accommodations

NYC has many options for lodging if you are coming from out of town, but here are some recommendations that are conveniently located near CUSP

Transportation

Public transit

  • A/C or F TRAINS to Jay Street/MetroTech: The last car (back of train) of the Brooklyn- bound A, C, and F trains (or front of Manhattan-bound trains will allow you to exit directly on to MetroTech plaza. Look for the Myrtle Promenade/Jay Street/MetroTech exit. As you exit at street level (blue X, below), you’ll see a TKTS booth in front of you; our building is on the right. Make a “U” turn to face Jay Street, turn left at the corner of the building and look for entrances on your left.
  • 2, 3 or 4 TRAIN to Borough Hall: Follow the “municipal building” signs to exit the train station (purple X, below) and begin walking toward Adams Street. Cross the street toward Shake Shack and cut through to Willoughby Street. Follow Willoughby and cross Jay Street, where you will take a left and proceed until you reach 1 MetroTech Center (entrance is on Jay Street). The building has National Grid signs at the entrances.

PROJECT PRESENTATIONS

Project teams will present their final projects on June 8-9 remotely via Webex.
