UNCF’s Institute for Capacity Building has partnered with Excelencia in Education and the Coleridge Initiative to deliver the Applied Data Analytics program. The goal of this training program is to build the capacity of university administrators and faculty around acquiring key data science skills necessary to work with confidential data. The curriculum draws on the second edition of Big Data and Social Science: A Practical Guide to Methods and Tools. The program is delivered through a mix of online materials that participants can review at their own pace, interactive lectures, and prepared materials provided using Jupyter Notebooks. Participants will be grouped into small teams where they will apply the skills learned in the training course to develop and complete a project to be presented in the final meeting. This work will be guided by the Project Template starting in Module 2.
