The goal of the Applied Data Analytics program is to help professionals at government agencies and universities develop key data science skills necessary to work with confidential data. The curriculum draws on the second edition of Big Data and Social Science: A Practical Guide to Methods and Tools. The program is delivered through a mix of online materials that participants can review at their own pace, interactive lectures, and prepared materials provided in workbooks. Participants will be grouped into small teams where they will apply the skills learned in the training course to develop and complete a project to be presented in the final meeting. This work will be guided by the project template starting in Module 2.
